India: Doctor charged with culpable homicide

expressindia.com on November 04, 2010 reported that an ayurvedic doctor in Rajkot has been charged with culpable homicide not amounting to murder after a patient died following haemorrhoids operation. The Pradhyumannagar police registered a case against Unnati Chavda under Section 304 of the Indian Penal Code in the early hours of Wednesday after relatives of the deceased, Jivan Parmar (45), demanded action against her.
