The jury returned the not guilty verdict in Madison County Circuit Court Wednesday morning on the charge of sexual battery made against Dr. Ernest Antwi. According to the indictment, a 25-year-old woman said Antwi inappropriately touched her in April 2010 while she was translating for a family member who was a patient of his. Among the witnesses who testified during the trial were Antwi and a former employee, who testified for the defense, and the accuser and the patient, who took the stand for the state.
