USA: Pharmacist arrested for forging prescriptions

myfoxny.com on June 02, 2011 reported that the federal agents arrested a Long Island pharmacist for allegedly knowingly filling dozens of forged prescriptions for addictive painkillers, according to Nassau County District Attorney Kathleen Rice. Lutful Chowdhury, 61, of Westbury was charged with 14 counts criminal possession of a forged instrument in the second degree. Authorities began investigating Chowdhury in 2010 after the arrest of a teenager who allegedly ran over and killed a retired doctor who was gardening in her yard.
