therepublic.com on June 23, 2011 reported that a 21-year-old Oregon man accused of posing as a doctor at Oregon Health and Science University in Portland has pleaded not guilty to charges related to the investigation. KGW-TV reports that Luke Ebert of Beaverton pleaded not guilty Thursday in Multnomah County Circuit Court to criminal mistreatment – for the impersonation accusations – and theft, for allegedly writing bad checks. Witnesses told investigators that Ebert was offering to perform medical procedures and give medical advice while using a fake hospital ID and wearing scrubs.
