India: Two doctors, 3 nurses booked for medical negligence

sakaaltimes.com on July 23, 2011 reported that Sangvi police have booked five medical personnel including two gynaecologists for medical negligence, which allegedly lead to a still birth of a baby at Aundh Civil Hospital in November last year. The complaint was registered after the receipt of a report from the Sassoon Hospital which said that there was medical negligence during the treatment. The police have identified the accused as Dr Arpita Pradip Wawarkar, Dr A V Sejulkar, Manisha Joshi, Ujjwala Nagpure and Shubhangi Kamble.
