Japan: Impersonating doctor apprehended

mdn.mainichi.jp on August 19, 2011 reported that a 42-year-old man was arrested Friday for allegedly pretending he was a licensed doctor in an area hit by the March earthquake and tsunami, police said. Yoshitaka Yoneta is suspected of identifying himself as a doctor, showing a photocopy of a bogus medical license to the staff of a social welfare association in Ishinomaki, Miyagi Prefecture, around late June, the police said, adding he denied the allegation.
