USA: Former urologist's license revoked by state law
commercial-news.com on October 04, 2011 reported that a former Danville doctor is among the first to permanently lose his license under a new Illinois state law. Former urologist Rezso Spruch was listed among the various licensed professionals who were disciplined by the Illinois Department of Finance and Professional Regulation. His physician and surgeon license as well as his controlled substance license were permanently revoked. Susan Hofer, spokeswoman for the department, said Spruch’s revocation is one of many that come under a bill signed by Gov. Pat Quinn in July. The bill indicates sex offenders cannot be licensed as health-care workers in Illinois.
