timesofindia.com on October 07, 2011 reported that in what officials called a major breakthrough, Central Bureau of Investigation arrested one more accused in the seat-for-sale scam at PGI, Dr Rajni Kant, and sent him to judicial custody for 14 days on Thursday. He works with a Bangalore-based medical institute. CBI sleuths said Kant was an impersonator and appeared on the behalf of Dr Amit Musale, who managed to obtain admission in paediatrics and pharmacology departments of PGI through fraudulent means in July 2010. Musale was arrested along with Dr Sujay Sonawane, when CBI had unearthed the scam in September 2010.
