India: Fake doctor arrested for extorting money from patient

indianexpress.com on October 28, 2011 reported that an impostor trying to fleece patients by posing as a doctor was arrested at the Government Medical College and Hospital in Sector 32 (GMCH-32) on Thursday. The accused, Munish Verma (36), is a resident of Khudda Lohara village. According to officials at GMCH-32, around 11.30 am, security guards noticed Verma trying to fleece the relatives of a patient admitted in medical emergency wing of the hospital. He was charging money from them on the pretext of arranging early treatment for the patient.
