insurancenewsnet.com on October 30, 2011 reported that attorney General Linda Kelly on October 25, announced that agents from the Attorney General's Insurance Fraud Section have filed criminal charges against a Bucks County chiropractor who is accused of filing more than $100,000 in fraudulent insurance claims. Kelly identified the defendant as Dr. Howard Bloom, age 55, of 8 Lincoln Circle, Ivyland, Bucks County. Dr. Bloom is the owner of Weathervane Chiropractic, which operates at two different locations in Bucks County: 8 Lincoln Circle, Ivyland and 120 Bustleton Pike, Southampton. Criminal charges have also been filed against the business. According to the criminal complaint, Dr. Bloom submitted bogus insurance claims under a billing code that required a doctor to have direct one-on-one contact with a patient.
