USA: Doctor, hospital sued for misdiagnosing patient’s heart attack

ultimatecyfair.com on November 22, 2011 reported that a physician, who lives in Cypress, and the Memorial Hermann Hospital System are being sued over claims they misdiagnosed a patient’s heart attack. Max Loerch filed a lawsuit on Nov. 21 in Harris County District Court against Memorial Hermann Hospital System and Cypress resident Jayne M. Viets, M.D., citing negligence. Loerch says on Sept. 5, 2010, he failed to receive proper medical attention from Viets and the nursing staff at Memorial Hermann-The Woodlands. According to the brief, an ambulance transported Loerch, who was experiencing chest pain, dizziness and weakness, to Memorial Hermann-The Woodlands.
