USA: Accused doctor pleads not guilty in drug fraud charges
tricities.com on November 28, 2011 reported that not guilty, that's the plea entered today by a doctor that used to head up the cardiology department Johnson City Medical Center. He's accused of prescription drug fraud. Doctor William Allen Walker has been the subject of a Johnson City Police Department investigation for seven months. Walker faces 34 counts of obtaining narcotics by fraud. The investigation started when Johnson City Police began looking into people who were getting the same prescription over and over again. After several months of investigating, Detective Frank Peters says they traced the prescriptions back to Doctor William Walker…former Chief of Cardiology at JCMC.
