reporternews.com on January 04, 2012 reported that a Stephens County physician arrested in Breckenridge in December for allegedly prescribing narcotics without examining patients had previously been arrested and indicted on a similar charge in 2009. In addition, Dr. Dwight James Nichols had been sanctioned by the Texas Medical Board for the same offense in 2004. Nichols, 81, was arrested Dec. 7 under a sealed indictment issued Dec. 6 from the 90th Judicial District Court in Stephens County.
