USA: Surgeon denies wrongdoings in sex crimes against a teenage girl
mercurynews.com on January 08, 2012 reported that a Mammoth Lakes surgeon and another man pleaded not guilty to charges they committed sex crimes against a 14-year-old girl from Santa Barbara. Dr. Andrew Bourne, 46, and Joseph Walker, 48, were arraigned Friday, The Santa Barbara News-Press reported (http://bit.ly/zHMohe). Bourne, head of vascular surgery at Mammoth Hospital and a board member of the Mammoth Unified School District, faces eight counts of contacting a child with intent to commit a sexual crime. Walker, reportedly a Mammoth Lakes businessman, faces one count of committing a lewd act on a child, and six counts of contacting a child with intent to commit a sexual crime, a felony.
