brantfordexpositor.ca on February 01, 2012 reported that Dr. Michael Monture, who was found guilty of defrauding the provincial government health insurance plan, is facing new allegations from the College of Physicians and Surgeons. The college is scheduling two hearings to deal with accusations that Monture sexually abused a patient by carrying on a relationship with her while she was under his care and that he lacked professional standards in the care and treatment of 24 other patients. Monture, who formerly lived in Hagersville and once practised in Brantford, is now practising at a northern Ontario hospital in Moose Factory.
