sunherald.com on February 08, 2012 reported that Donald Lee Roberts Jr., a former Coast doctor, has been ordered held for federal marshals pending sentencing after pleading guilty to failure to pay thousands of dollars in child support. A federal grand jury had indicted Roberts more than five years ago, but authorities were unable to find him until December, when he was taken into custody while trying to enter Mexico. He had been living outside the United States to avoid prosecution, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office. He was an ear, nose and throat doctor for more than 30 years and operated a Coast clinic before he disappeared.
