charlotteobserver.com on February 09, 2012 reported that a Charlotte-area physician who has been previously disciplined by the N.C. Medical Board has been indefinitely suspended from practicing medicine. Board documents say Dr. Margaret McIntosh, 56, a family physician, agreed to license suspension in a consent order signed Tuesday. The consent order says McIntosh continued to prescribe drugs for herself, her husband and two others despite surrendering her medical license last year. Her permit from the Drug Enforcement Administration to prescribe controlled substances also had expired.
